Are you going to South by Southwest? If you need ANOTHER reason to catch the Marvel: House of Ideas panel on Sunday, March 11, all fans who go to the panel will get to see the premiere of our new Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. I’ve seen the first two episodes and it’s really quite terrific. Here are the official details:

Dear History Teachers,
Yup I’m looking at you. This is partially your fault. Take a break from the Incas, Aztecs, Explorers, Kings, Asia Minor, Washington, Lincoln etc and teach these kids about MUSIC HISTORY.
I really would like them to know that their favorite BULL SHIT bands that have the freedom to write their own lyrics, be controversial, and create inventive music are THANKS to a FUCKING KNIGHTED LEGEND name PAUL McCartney who with one of the “original” rock bands REVOLUTIONIZED music FOREVER!
Dear Youth of this world (And their parents for that matter),
Our world might end with your generation and that really SCARES ME!
Because if you don’t know who King Henry the 8th, George Washington OR The Beatles are we’re in SEVERE fucking trouble.
****Mom if you read this sorry for the swearing but it was necessary. These kids don’t know who the Beatles or Paul McCartney are. What’s wrong with them???****
Is this real?…. IS THIS REAL?

Did you know? — On this day in 1964 The Beatles arrived in New York.
Photographer Mike Mitchell, then 18 years old, shot the Beatles performing their iconic first concert in the United States at the Washington Coliseum. The concert occured just two days after the band’s momentous performance on The Ed Sullivan Show, a debut which drew over 74 million television viewers.
Looking back, Mitchell recalls,
“to me, this concert was an opportunity to do portraits, and to get an up close look, to really see who these guys were! Many Americans emerging from the sleep-walking fifties saw the Beatles as very strange creatures indeed. Most of the establishment press treated them as mere novelty. My generation however felt an immediate connection with them and still do.”
